Às voltas com a máquina de costura } Struggling with the sewing machine

Aos anos que queria uma máquina de costura para fazer "coisinhas bonitas". Há uns anos a minha mãe ofereceu-me uma pequenina quase, quase de brincar para "me ir habituando e treinar". Claro está que não deu muito resultado a coisa. No Natal passado lá me ofereceram uma máquina a sério. Devo dizer que isto da costura é muito mais difícil do que parece e ainda não consigo cozer a direito nem fazer nada de concreto...Mas vou tentanto e pequenas coisas lá saiem.

A minha primeira grande remodelação foi uma saia que tinha no armário. Adorava esta saia e fartei-me de a vestir...O problema é que agora um pouco mais magra a saia já não me ficava lá muito bem. Pega na máquina, coze um pouco aqui e um pouco ali e voilá... tenho um vestido novo e bem "fofinho"

For years I wanted a sewing machine to make "pretty little things." Years ago my mother gave me a little one, like almosta a toy to "get used to it and trainning." Of course that didn't result in anything. Last Christmas offered me a "real" sewing machine. I must say that the sewing is much harder than it looks and I still can't sew straight or do anything concrete ... But I'm trying and little things come out.

My first major renovation was a skirt that was in the closet. I love that skirt and dress it for years... The problem was that I'm 'm thinner and no longer like to see the skirt on me.  So I get on the machine, sew a little here and a little there and voilá... got a new dress and a "cute" one!
